Janie felt a call to missionary service as a child; in obedience to that call, she has given a lifetime to missionary church planting, both foreign and domestic of the Assemblies of God. As a foreign missionary, her service took her to Spain and Spanish language ministry. While teaching in Instituto Bíblico Antioquía in Júarez, México, an unexpected door of opportunity opened in the State of Arkansas.
Understanding that the “go” of the Great Commission also includes “Samaria,” Janie moved to serve in AG U.S. Missions and to plant the first Spanish language church in the State. In the process, a growing and aggressive team of church planters came to help her establish new works and formed the movement known as “Hispanic Project.” In 1997, Hispanic Project became a national initiative of the Assemblies of God U.S. Missions. New Hispanic churches now spread into many States and continue to multiply into the thrilling phenomenon of 2nd and 3rd generation church plants.
Presently, Janie serves as a nationally appointed U.S. Missionary of the Assemblies of God; working with a leadership team of church planters to impact the 6 western states of the Central District. She is married to J. Rand Mobley CPA and together they have 6 children and 26 grandkids!
